Weekend Wrap Up

You know I am enjoying using my Pyrex for other uses. I decided to put some clothespins in my fridgie. They fit perfectly.

I told someone I would pick her up some brochures of things to do in this area. Would you say I found her enough to keep them all busy?

I had a dear friend give me a camera this past weekend. She has rarely used it. I was thrilled. It is the exact size I was wanting.

Hubby and I went to Clinton, Tennessee on an antique expedition on the 4th. It was an awesome trip. They had so many unique stores and I saw things I had never seen before. One was so quaint but the day was about being with hubby, not about getting too many pics for my blog. But this one store was nothing but vintage items from the 60's. I will be going back again some day and grab some pics. This is the way town looks. We were able to park and just walk the whole town.

Hubby finally found a bottle he liked to start his vintage milk bottle collection. We saw a lot of different ones but he liked this one the best. Still need to do a little scrubbing and cleaning on it, but it is just for decor.

And I found the lime cake pan from Pyrex. I am loving the solid colors. I'm considering trying to make a pan of cornbread in it just to see if it will stick or not. I always have trouble with it sticking in my iron skillet.

It looks really good with my other solid color items.

One store had the chip and dip bowl Pyrex set I have been wanting. The only problem is it was $75.00. Guess you know I didn't buy it. But it sure is beautiful.

I picked up this yarn at a yarn store over the weekend. I just love the colors in it. My office is in pastels so I want to make me a coaster or something from this yarn.

I went to another antique store on Friday with my BFF Sherrie. We love taking our time going up and down the aisles. There were a lot of "my mom used to have that" items. Guess what I found for $6.50? The dip bowl to the one I saw on Thursday that I want so bad. Now just to find the chip bowl and the bracket.

I made some cookies Friday night. I love when I get to make something using my Pyrex. I love these little packs of cookie mix. A package of mix, a little butter and water, and 10 minutes later a dozen cookies. It's the snack size package.

I have finally had to break down and order a new N for my laptop. It is going to take a while to get it and then I have to put it on. But the hole has gotten so bad where my fingernail has hit the same spot for 5 years that I keep getting stuck in it and the N won't work good now. Every time I type N, I have to stop and hit the little button that is down in that hole because there is nothing left on the key itself to push it down.

So I had to go buy a cheap keyboard to do me for now. I am getting used to it, but it feels weird.

I also picked up two other colors of yarn this weekend. I am loving both of them. I don't have a clue what I will be making other than some plastic canvas boxes, baskets, or birdhouses.

Sherrie and I went to McKay's book store. I had these three books on my list. I got them all three. Can't wait to start reading them. I love anything by Sherryl Woods and I love a trilogy so these should be great. Plus they take place at the beach so they should be perfect summer reading.

I also love Sweetgrass by Mary Alice Monroe. I read it every couple of years. It always puts me in a beach mood. I found this other one by her Friday that I had never read before. Can't wait to start it as well.

The rest of the weekend was really rainy. I am so glad I had Sunday to get rested up. I made some chocolate pudding and lounged around and read all day. I had grilled cheese and soup for supper. It was rainy most of the day so I didn't even go out on the porch. How was your weekend?
