Weekend Wrap Up

Hubby and I took a three day weekend trip to visit our family in West Virginia. I love taking a road trip with some of my Thirty-One items. It was a great way to pack everything.

As soon as we got to town, I had to stop and have my Stewart's Hot Dogs for lunch. They were delicious. I had them with the ice cold root beer in the mug. Sweet heaven.

We always stay at the Comfort Inn. They are in the process of renovating the rooms and we got one that had just been completed. First guests to stay there. I loved it. The pillows and mattresses were so comfortable.

They had a nice comfy chair for hubby to watch TV from. I usually pile up on the bed and read.

Their desk area of really nice as well. I took my laptop "just in case" and I think I posted one thing on Facebook and that was it all weekend. I wrote my blogs before I left so I had no need for the computer. It felt weird but I needed the break.

Both nights we ordered Gino's Pizza for delivery to the room. I love that pizza. There is none anywhere in the world as good as the locally owned Gino's in Barboursville and Huntington.

I always order some of their onion rings to go with it. They are to die for.

Of course, my weekend wouldn't be complete without some shopping. Mom and I went to a yard sale. Me and Hubby went to a local flea market and an antique store. We had a great time and were able to pick up a few bargains. He is really getting into collecting milk bottles. He picked up this 2-quart one at the antique store.

I got this gorgeous candy dish at the yard sale for $1.00. Just one more place to put my Junior Mints.

I have been wanting one of these little pitchers by Federal Glass. Mom had one when we were growing up and I wanted to find one for me. They are so expensive everywhere I see them. But I found me one at an antique store in Milton, WV for just $5.00. Didn't even have to think twice about getting it.

When we went to the flea market, first booth we walked in had a Pyrex 401 in the butterfly gold pattern. I am trying to collect the 401 in all the patterns. When I saw this was only $3.00, I knew it was going home with me.

My cousin gave me this vintage glass when I saw her over the weekend. I love it. Doesn't anybody know who the maker of this pattern was?

Mom gave me this vase. It will be beautiful this fall with some orange and yellow

I found this cute little pitcher. It looked vintage and it was unique and it was just $3.00. So I bought it. When I got home and looked it up on the internet, I found out it is called a Baby Bump pitcher. It was made by Glasco for mother's to use to pour milk in the baby bottles. It even has measurement marks on the side.

The main purpose of the trip was to go to my niece's baby shower. It was a great shower. I got to see a lot of family and friends that I haven't seen in years. From left to right, my sister, my niece who is having the baby, my mom and me.

I had a wonderful weekend and hated to come back home. Even though I love to go back to visit and it was wonderful getting to see everyone, I still love getting back home to Tennessee.
