Last week, I was running an errand and a yard sale sign caught my eye. I picked up this cute little glass tray.
I also found this cute little tray that depicts the Last Supper. I don't know what I will do with either tray but I just loved them. I may use the Last Supper one as a butter dish and the larger one for bread when we have dinner.
I also found this unique size Mason jar. Being from the south, this is as good as getting a new glass. I'm reserving this one for drinking water out of.
I also found this pretty yarn. Not sure what I will make with it, but I loved the colors.
I saw this but did not buy it since I don't collect these. However, I just had to take a picture for the Stacey at The Gluten Free Pastor's Wife. I thought of her when I saw these and just had to post them for her to see.
Also, I wanted to share what my amenity was at my recent Thirty-One C & C meeting. It was one of the new wallets in a new pattern that is going to be available in the fall line. Isn't it gorgeous.
Here is the inside. You just gotta love a company that gives you free training AND free product for attending the training.
They also gave us a free luggage tag. Nice and jazzy looking.
On another note, I enjoy finding new uses for Pyrex and Glasbake. I use coffee filters to place in bowls when I heat anything in the microwave. I just put my food in a bowl, then place a coffee filter inside the bowl just like you put it in your coffee maker. It stays on top of the bowl and doesn't blow off like napkins do. It prevents splatter and then I just throw it away. I keep napkins on top as well for those times when I need to wrap a bun or biscuit up to heat it up but not dry it out. Now I have everything handy in one spot on top my microwave.
Many of you know about my obsession for crocheted dish cloths. I have so many pretty ones that I decided to display them in my Town and Country bowl. It is really neat because I am able to just reach in and grab one for when I bake. I like to keep a wet one handy when I am baking for those times when my cocoa, powered sugar, or flour go flying out of the bowl. Sometimes baking gets a little messy and you need a quick wipe up. These work perfectly.
And to leave you with a little beauty from my part of the world. This is the view of the Great Smoky Mountains every time I drive into town. (Disregard the road work. Hopefully they will done soon.) I love how the clouds lay down into the mountains. It is easy to see how the Smoky Mountains got their name.

I love finding alternate uses for my Pyrex. Who says you only have to use it to cook/bake with? I have two small refrigerator dishes on my desk that hold paper clips and binder clips. You should try that!
