My mom loves to sew and make primitive stitchery. She is constantly amazing me with some of the new ideas she comes up with. On my trip last week, I took some pictures of some of the items she has made. This is a little scene she created by making the house from plastic canvas and then added some sheep and a weeping willow tree.
She makes a lot of these runners and does the primitive stitching applique on both ends.
She has made me a couple of these. I love them. She just makes yo yo's and sews them onto doilies.
Here is another yo yo doily she made.
This was a wall hanging she created. She hand stitches the leaves of the weeping willow and did applique with hand stitching for the sun and sheep and grass.
One of the many snowmen she has done.
She made these pillows and added the doilies with the yo yo's for embelishment.
I like how she coordinated the yo yo's with the crocheted afghan on the foot of her bed.
Some more appliques on a towel and a pillow. She made the cat on this bench as well.
This sewing machine cover is too cute.
I like how she combined the hand stitched applique with her yo yo's on this one.
This one is one of my favorites. I love roosters. This would be so easy to make.
You will notice he is a one piece silhouette. I love the material she used.
She loves roosters and has several more towels she did with them.
She even made a matching towel and holder for plastic bags.
I love the little wooden ladder with some of her primitive stitched towels hanging on it.
Another one of her home made pillows.
This was cute. I told her about seeing the idea for a tray on Pinterest. You put material under the glass of a picture frame and set something on the tray. This is what Mom did.
She has birdhouses in her dining room and this is one of the displays.
I also like this display she did with pictures of my son and his family. She made the birdhouse planter from plastic canvas.
This is a few pictures she did scrapbook sheets with. It is her mom, dad, brother and one of her and her sisters.
Now I am inspired to start working on crafts again.

I cannot believe how talented and crafty your mom is! Those primitives look like the exact same things that we pay big bucks for out of catalogs and shops.
