1. Next Saturday is "Ask a Stupid Question Day"... in preparation for it, please share a stupid question you've been asked or would like an answer to...
This is not so much a "stupid question" as a something to ponder. On gas tanks in our town, there are signs that say "No one under 18 allowed to pump gas." Well, last week my 10 year old grandson saw the sign and asked "What happens when you are 16, with a license and have a job and need to get gas on your way to work? Can you go up to the window and say 'Please pump my gas for me because I'm not 18 yet?' I would say that he has a point.
2. Do you believe that workplace dressing has become too casual?

Well, from one who has a very casual dress code, I think it all depends. In my instance we work in the owners home in an office he built in the basement. It is an extremely nice office with break room and everything, but we do not see clients in our office and since it is in his home, we dress pretty casual such as capris, jeans, casual shirts....but not t-shirts. However, being in a tourist destination we also see a lot of casual dress even at some of the banks on Fridays. I for one work much more efficiently when I am comfortable in my clothing and dressy dress clothes is not a comfort item to me.
3. What technology is on your wishlist? Is there a technology that hasn't been invented yet that you want to see happen?

I am debating on a Kindle paperwhite but I am also still thinking about getting a tablet. I had a tablet for awhile and had trouble with it so I returned it and never have replaced it. I'm torn on what to do. As far as a technology that hasn't been invented, do you think they could come up with something that would do my dusting for me?
4. September is Honey Month - are you a fan of honey? how do you use it?

The only time I like honey is in a glaze on ham or chicken. That's about it. I'm not a big fan of it.
5. October is getting nearer. Do you decorate for Halloween?
I use a lot of fall decor around my house beginning after Labor Day. On October 1st, I incorporate my Halloween items....a witch for the door, some ceramic jack-o-lanterns and my ghost cookie jar are a few of my favorites.

I am working today. I got an MBA class to teach. They, I am sure, are all looking forward to it.
Today I am babysitting my grandkids because both their parents have to work. When I get home, I will take a book out to the patio with a glass of ice tea and relax for awhile.
I had to work today. We did get out 2 hours early though because it was slow which was really nice and we get paid for the entire day :) Now I'm just lounging at the house soaking up doing nothing until classes start tomorrow and then I'll be busy.
I spent it with my honey!
We travel so we don't do VBS
I put out patriotic decorations at the end of May (before Memorial Day) and leave them out until after July 4th.
I like the way that you put that you'd have to be put to sleep to go on an airplane. A hammer would have to be involved in any plane trip for me. Someone would have to knock me over the head at this point to get me on a plane. :)
I don't generally decorate for anything but Christmas and, even then, it is just the Christmas tree involved. If we did lawn or house exterior decorating, someone would probably steal it!
Have a great week!
Very busy here - and no sign of it letting up in the near future
yes it has! i've been busy having fun :)

Since we retired I can hardly believe how busy we are. Summer means no coats when we walk and we do a lot more walking.
Aside from dealing with doctor appointments (a few times a month) and home health (which ended yesterday), our summer has been pretty relaxed. There is a stressful event coming up next weekend, but after that it should be smooth sailing again until the college starts classes again in the fall. That's when things get wild and hectic for me!
Have a great week!
I collect musical paraphernalia from my favorite bands and concerts I go to. I, also, like Precious Moments figures.
I used to be a big collector mostly Avon however now that I am retired I want to down size and give away my collections however no one else wants them.
Actually, I collect several things. Among my favorites are: Coca Cola decor, Chatty Cathy dolls, Barbie dolls, cookbooks, and ceramic frogs. Have a great week!
i used to love that ride at dollywood, but i haven't been there in awhile :( i collect elephants!
I collect books and dust bunnies...
I have not had anything delivered by UPS. I don't order on-line.
I ordered copies of my book, those should be coming UPS...if not, then I think my new Dooney and Burke purse from QVC came UPS...
The last thing that came ups was a review product that I have to take to my reviewer this week.
Hmm, it's been a while since I've ordered anything but I believe that would have been my order from Amazon, bulk pricing for TP, shampoo, bath soap, tissues, paper towels, dishwasher soap and something else too, not sure what it was now. I don't think it was essentials like that though.
We're probably going to have some left-overs from the fridge! We grilled yesterday.
Probably some noodles in chicken broth. It's just me and I have no plans to do anything or go anywhere.
We will probably have leftovers since I didn't give it a single thought and didn't pull anything from the freezer to defrost.
I am working today too. I think Chili is a great Labor Day food.
We had spaghetti and garlic bread for our Labor Day supper.
Have a great week!
I like the idea of going to the beach.
