Do you remember?

I am a candy fanatic. I love having something to munch on around the house at all times. My current favorites are Junior Mints, M & M's and miniature Twix bars. But I remember candy from my childhood that I would love to have again.

My favorite candy bar that I miss the most was the Butternut. Does anybody remember it? Ooey googey goodness with nuts wrapped in chocolate. Best candy bar ever made.

Another favorite growing up was the Milk Shake bar. It was similar to Milky Ways, but a lot better. It had malted milk in it which is one of my favorite flavors in the world.

The Hollywood was another favorite because it had caramel, nougat, and peanuts. It was a bitter sweet chocolate, not milk chocolate, but I liked it anyway.

I loved the Forever Yours bar. It was dark chocolate, which I normally don't like. But oh, it was delicious. It was made by Mars and they discontinued in. Several years back, they came out with a dark chocolate Milky Way which is exactly what the Forever Yours bar tasted like. So I am happy to be able to get something that tastes like the Forever Yours.

Another favorite of mine was the Smoothie peanut butter cup. I loved these. You can still find the individual double packs in some convenience store gas stations now, but they are rare. The funny thing is that I always thought they were just peanut butter with a peanut butter coating. If you look at the label now, you will see that the delicious crunch style coating is actually butterscotch. Sounds gross but it is still delicious.

This one was from my high school years ad didn't last long. It was the Marathon bar. Just caramel dipped in chocolate. That is all it was but it was delicious.

Not all the candy I miss was chocolate. I used to be so addicted to BB Bats. But I would only eat the banana ones. Which is weird considering I don't really like banana flavored candy now, but back then it was my favorite.
Same thing with the Kits. When we got to pick out a bag of penny candy at the grocery store, I always included banana kits. I saw some of these at a local general store lately. I need to try them and see if they are as good as I remember.
I also love Sugar Daddy. You can still find these once in a while in novelty candy stores. I loved them. I still by the Sugar Babies in the package, but it is not the same as the Daddy that lasted for hours.

Pixie Stix was another of my weaknesses. These are still around today and I still buy them. Nothing like a few Pixie Stix to get you on a sugar high.

But my favorite candy from childhood and still my favorite today is my Junior Mints. I keep a candy dish full of Junior Mints in my living room, my home office and on my desk at work. I can't get through the day without my Junior Mints.

I saw something the other day that I am wondering if I should by some. It is a home fragrance that smells like- you guessed it- Junior Mints. How funny is that!

What is your favorite candy?
