This year will be our first beach vacation in three years. I am getting excited, even though it is still a few months away. We have been to several different beaches, but Myrtle Beach is still my favorite so that is where we will be heading this year.
I miss so many things. I am just an old country gal and the simple things in life make me happy. I can't wait to go to Burkey's Grill and have a cheeseburger and fries in the 50's atmosphere.
I love to tour the shops at Broadway at the Beach.
I always go to this little yarn shop tucked away on one of the side streets. I have purchased some gorgeous, unique yarn in there many times.
Another place we always go is Toby's World Gifts up in Little River, SC. I treat myself to a new tea for one set every year that we get to go there.
And no trip is complete unless we travel to the other end and head to Pawley's Island. I love browsing the shops at the Pawley's Island Hammock Shops.
When we drive down to the Island, I always have to stop at Sam's and have a hot dog.
And of course, I have to spend hours and hours just relaxing on the beach with my chair at the waters edge. I like to just sit there and let the waves wash up around my ankles while I read a good book and just enjoy the sun.
Oh, sweet vacation, I can't wait.

We lived in SC for 9 years, and my kids have NEVER been to Myrtle Beach! It was always Hilton Head & Charleston for us!
Oh what fun you are going to have! My family will be going to beach for a week late July and I am excited about that too. Of course with 11 of us in which 4 are grands I will probably need a vacation from vacation when we get back! LOL! I hope you have fun. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
