My recent visit to an antique store

Antique stores amaze me. I could walk their aisles for hours just gazing at the variety of items available. This weekend I went to Olde Days Antiques and Collectables in Kodak, TN. I love going there because they have several booths that hold a lot of Pyrex. Not all of them were Pyrex, but all of them caught my eye.

This was just $12.95 which isn't bad. But it isn't Pyrex.

This was the booth I found my Town and Country 401 bowl in. They had some cute other items as well.

This is spring blossom pattern and I do collect that pattern, but just wasn't looking for a casserole bowl with lid on that day.

Now this really caught my eye. It is also the Town and Country pattern that I love. It comes in the solid brown pattern (which I have two pieces of) and in the brown and orange pattern, which I really want. I am looking for a divided dish with the lid and was thrilled to find this. Then I saw the $28 price tag and wasn't as thrilled any longer. I will keep my eye on it and may eventually buy it. We'll just have to wait and see.

This is called Blue Delphite and is actually a Pyrex piece. It was $40 which was steep considering one sold recently for $5 on Ebay. I am told that its value come from the fact that it is actually made from blue milk glass where the blue is actually mixed into the glass instead of painted on during production.

I have never seen the Shenandoah pattern anywhere, but I saw many pieces this past weekend. I eventually want something in this pattern, but the pieces I saw were all a little damaged and a little pricey.

This one was in pretty good shape, just a little too high.

This isn't Pyrex. I think it was either Fire King or Glasbake but can't remember. It was pretty though.

This pattern is called Zodiac. I don't really care for it, but it was unique.

Here is how it originally came when it first came out. The lid even has a pretty design on it. This one still with the box is currently going for $75 on E-bay.

I keep saying I want something in butterprint and I keep finding things in that pattern. But it is either a piece I don't want or the price is so outrageous. It is one of the most popular patterns and the one you see a lot of, yet it is the highest priced because of the fact so many people collect it. Ahh, maybe one day.

I am not sure what this type of yellow bowl is called. I call it the square Pyrex but I don't think that is right. Does anybody know what it is called? I saw this yellow one and in another booth saw a red and yellow one. This was my first live spotting of these type of bowls and I still can't decide if I like them.

I have a few items that I am looking for to add to my collection. I have never seen them in person, but through all my online research I have fallen in love with them. I would probably pay whatever it took to get this complete piece.

And anything in this pattern would just make my day.

The yellow square bowl is from the Hostess set. It originally came with a lid and 4 small and 4 medium sized square bowls. It also came in red. Love the Pink Stems. It was a major splurge for me not too long ago!

I love the blue divided dish. I had one once with the lid and dropped both and both broke! I have not run across another one since and I am cheap so still on the lookout! Hugs and blessings, Cindy

I LOVE that pink casserole. I'm looking for that one too! I was fortunate enough to find the Rooster Space saver on Craigs list and got her down to $15.
