Found some good bargains

I went to a couple of yard sales Friday and picked up a few little bargains I wanted to share with you. I love when I can find romance books at a good price. These were just .25 cents each so I snagged up some to get me through the next month or two.

I love flip flops and when I saw this purse for just $1.00, I knew it had to come home with me.

I can't resist little mini zipper pouches. They can be used for so many things. These were just $1.00.

But my favorite find of the day was this cute little cabinet for just $3.00. Hubby wanted to know where in the world I was going to put it and I answered him with the standard "I don't know but I just couldn't pass it up. 

I love the chicken wire front on the door. That was my main reason for buying it. I have roosters in my kitchen and just knew my vintage roosters that belonged to my Mamaw would look great in the shelf. 

The only place I found to put it for now is on the wine rack. Not sure I like it there, but with my other rooster/chicken items I'm giving a try. I may end up moving it. We'll see. 

I'm heading out today to find some red/white/blue to decorate my table for the patriotic holidays....Memorial Day, Flag Day, and Fourth of July. 

Missing Blogging

I am missing blogging. I don't miss doing it everyday, but I miss having a place to share my thrifty finds, my stories, my recipes and just my random thoughts. 

My blogging started out as a way to share things with my family and friends. As it grew, it took different twists and turns. So I decided to create a private blog where only my friends and family can visit. 

I'll still share my thrifty finds, Pinterest ideas, things I like on Ebay & Etsy, recipes, decor, crafting and of course, Pyrex. 

I am not going to blog every day, just when I have something to blog about.
